Alayna M. Lopez
Yo! I’m Alayna, a dedicated Communication Analysis and Engagement student at The Ohio State University, with a minor in Youth Development. My passion lies in documentary filmmaking and Journalism, particularly focusing on sports and their intersection with marginalized groups, accessibility, and social justice.

My journey into multimedia storytelling began at age 13 with the editing of my first highlight mixtape using PowerDirector, which has since garnered 47k views. This early experience sparked my fascination with video production, leading me to self-learn tools such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity, and CapCut.

In 2021, I launched AMLFlicks, my freelance photography and videography business. Specializing in sports, concerts, and nightlife, I’ve gained valuable experience in negotiation, website development, and photo editing with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Currently, I serve as a Live Video Production Assistant for Ohio State Athletics, where I operate cameras and graphics for various sports events, excluding football. This role has further honed my skills in live production and technical operations. I am also a freelance writer/photographer for the lantern media group at ohio state university.
